As a college graphic design instructor, I can honestly say no. In order to go to any college for graphics, you must submit a portfolio of work for consideration for acceptance into the school's program. Graphic design is near to impossible to get a job in, unless you have a college degree, and no degree unless you have a GED or high school diploma.

It is called a GED. It isn't smart to drop out of high school because Blizzard looks at all records from all years. Take tons of video game classes if you can. If you are going to throw all you can at this, be really dedicated and spend all your time drawing at different angles. I suggest that you should not drop out. It is dumb, and even though you can get into college fast, it does not help your life overall, unless you have incredible luck. If you really want to be a graphics designer, you will find a way to do it while taking school.

You need a diploma and SAT scores to become a freshman in college.  They won't accept a high school drop out, and none of your teachers will write a recommendation for you.    If your grades are in good shape, you may be able to take some college classes while you're still in high school, or even work on graduating early.  Talk to your counselor.

P.S.- A GED will not earn you the credentials you need to get into a university as well as a diploma will.  There is no reason to go that route because of impatience.

in case you're mature adequate and have reached a undeniable age (which you have) I greater suitable than agree that a intense college preparation isn't needed. (for this reason you're a mature individual who's sixteen or over) i actual did no longer complete intense college and am a school graduate. the two certainly one of my brothers are college graduates and are unquestionably against no longer winding up intense college, even nevertheless i'm information that top college drop outs are no longer complete failures. ( i'm additionally the black sheep of the kinfolk lol ) All joking aside... my advice for you would be to detect a job for a three hundred and sixty 5 days on the grounds which you're no longer waiting to get carry of your GED. i'm uncertain the place you're from (i'm from Canada and to circulate right into a school you're able to be of 18 years/or intense college or equivalent in line with what course/software you're taking, you for sure can't take a nursing course as an occasion and not utilising a highschool degree) i'm decrease than the impact which you're from the States and that i know minimum salary is truly low there yet on the grounds which you have made the enterprise determination then seek for artwork. A 3 hundred and sixty 5 days will pass by ability of quickly. i'm against some inner maximum faculties, even nevertheless a tenet could be to look into them (be sure you do your analyze), possibly you could study a experienced commerce or get right into a software of your pastime. sturdy success on your endeavours, you have the help of your loved ones and that's all that concerns. do no longer hear to all and sundry who will placed you or your judgement down! yet please in basic terms keep in mind that cases have replaced, it is not like it advance into while our mothers and fathers have been youthful. it is not that easy and you're able to stay centred.

Hey, Phillip

Maybe what you need to ask yourself is, is there a reason that you don't want to finish high school first?  Are you having problems with other people there?  Or are you bored?  Maybe there is a junior college in your area that you could take a few classes at, in addition to high school.  I remember, years ago, when I was in high school, I wanted to do the same thing.  BAD idea!

Good luck!

You can "drop out" of high school and get your GED. That's really the only way to go about doing things. My boyfriend is doing the same thing next year. I wouldn't recommend it, but if it's really what you want to do.... I mean, you're seventeen and depending on when you turn eighteen, you can pretty much do whatever you want.

It would be a better idea to finish out High School, but no one can really stop you..
