I'm 27 and getting ready to go back. I've just now decided what I want to do when I grow up.
I think you should definately go back. It will be easier to do a job you enjoy for 50 years, then be miserable!
Absolutely not.You are still a baby(in college terms lol).I am 26 and have just signed up for a 2 year access course at the local
FE college. If you are looking to join the police force, you can still get in without doing the public services course.
I don't really know how it is in the US, but here in Norway people study no matter how old they are. My mother went back to university when she was 35, and my father is now 44 and he is studying law while at the same time having a newborn baby, a 3 year old kid, and a full time job.
When is it bad to invest in yourself? You'd be known as a non-traditional student. Here at Washington State University in Vancouver (a Pac-10, accredited university), the majority of the students are non-traditional. In fact, I'm writing this to you in my Student Government Senate office where I'm holding my office hours (at age 31). However, I would warn you against holding down a full time job. You risk serious burnout.
