I need 2 books for a project?

I have an assignment where I have to choose two history books and write 2 reports on them. One has to be non-fiction, the other can be fiction or non-fiction. Does anybody have any recommendations for books that are interesting and not boring?

The book thief is a fictional account of a portion of the holocaust, and is AWESOME :D

The Diary of Anne Frank is a non-fiction Holocaust book, and it's a great read.
