Avoid giving a lot of processed foods (which includes many typical "kid" foods like chicken nuggets, mac & cheese, anything fried, and most crackers) because they aren't good for you. They usually have high levels of sodium, fat, and additives. Studies have shown that these types of foods not only lead to higher risk of obesity but also behavior problems.
Look for healthier finger foods like cut veggies and fruit dipped in peanut butter or hummus. Cheese sticks. Whole grain sandwiches like peanut butter & jelly or lean meat such as ham or turkey with low fat cheese. Greek yogurt is thicker so it's less messy than regular yogurt.
