Where can I go to change my living status for my University?

I applied to the University of Maryland (College Park) and reported that I would be living on campus. This was 8 months ago or so, and now, after seeing my FAFSA results, I came to the conclusion that I would rather stay with my parents (I didn't get enough from FAFSA to live on campus). So my question is WHERE or HOW do I tell UMD that i'm no longer going to live on campus? Because i'm afraid that they'll send me a receipt of a school year that I can't afford.

You can update your FAFSA to change your living situation. You should also contact the financial aid office to inform them that your housing status needs to be changed from Dorms to with Parents.

This will affect your budget that has been created for you, since you will be living with your parents your budget will decrease. Your financial aid award may have to be adjusted if you are now being over awarded once your budget changes.

You shouldn't be receiving a bill or statement to show you owe for campus housing if you didn't apply or are living on campus. The budget that you see is used to determine how much financial aid you are able to receive for the year.
